  • Diamonds and Pearls’ Group Meeting Proposal

    *** Contingent upon leadership approval*** Facilitator: Regina Shaw, Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor When: Monthly on a Sunday (each month, the date is determined based on other scheduled church activities) Where: Ave F Church of Christ Time: 12:00 PM Goal: To provide a safe “Godly” space for our young ladies to address daily life concerns and/or struggles that may be affecting their spiritual and mental health. Approach: Each group will begin with a pre-determined topic, but the topic may change during the group as groups are participant-led. Topics can include, but are not limited to: · Stress management · Peer Pressure · Coping Strategies · Conflict Resolution · Anger management · Healthy Relationships · Setting Boundaries · Healthy Boundaries Most topics will be accompanied by hard-copy materials which participants may share with their parent and/or guardian.

  • 2026 Youth Kick-Off

    ✨ Ave F Youth Kickoff 2026 ✨ Join us immediately following service for our Ave F Youth Kick-Off on January 25 as we celebrate our youth and launch our 2026 theme, Prayer That Connects. The kickoff will include lunch, games, and interactive activities to help our youth grow confident in prayer and get excited for the year ahead. Parents are invited to stay for a brief Q&A with our youth and education leaders to learn more about the theme, upcoming programming, and how we’ll support students throughout the year and then you can enjoy an hour of peace & quiet while the youth continue with the kick-off. Families are also asked to complete the Growth & Engagement Survey. Parents/Guardians please allow youth to provide their own responses where applicable. The survey link is available on the kickoff flyer and posted in the youth Discord channel. Please be sure to complete the survey & RSVP to Kam or Nicki Lovelace by January 22.

    We have partnered with the Samaritan Inn in McKinney for the month of February. The are asking for donations of cleaning supplies, specifically, Glass cleaners, all purpose cleaner, magic erasers, disinfectant wipes, toilet cleaner , shower cleaner and floor cleaner. I am asking that all donations are dropped off to the church by 2/25 and the full donation to Samaritan Inn will happen 2/26.

  • JASA Ladies Day Planning Meeting

    If you are interested in participating in or helping plan our Ladies Day Program on April 11, 2026, please plan to stay after 10:00 AM service on Sunday, February 8. We’ll take some time immediately following service to discuss the vision, roles, and ideas for the event. The theme for this year’s JASA ministry and the Ladies Day Program will be: “Pray Without Cease, Walk in His Peace.” We’ll share how this theme will guide the program and explore how each of us can contribute in meaningful ways. Whether you feel led to serve on stage, behind the scenes, or simply want to be part of the planning process, your voice and gifts are welcome. This will be a collaborative conversation as we begin shaping what God has in store for Ladies Day.

    ICR Discovery Center 1830 Royal Ln, Dallas, TX

    Good afternoon @everyone Our Boys 2 Men group will be taking a special trip to the ICR Discovery Center in Dallas on Saturday, February 21 at 1:00pm. This experience is designed to help our young men see the wonders of God’s creation brought to life through interactive exhibits, scientific displays, and powerful visual storytelling. The goal of this outing is to strengthen their foundation of faith by showing how the universe, the earth, and all living things reflect God’s design from the very beginning. The ICR Discovery Center presents creation through a biblical lens, giving our boys a deeper understanding of how Scripture and science work together to reveal God’s purpose. We will depart from the church at 12:30pm. Please contact Bro. Lovelace at 469-870-2575 by February 16 Lunch will be provided This will be an inspiring and educational trip that encourages spiritual growth, curiosity, and brotherhood. We look forward to a meaningful day with your sons as they explore God’s creative power together!
