Volunteers Needed – VBS

We're gearing up for an exciting Vacation Bible School and we need YOU to make it amazing! We're looking for volunteers to serve as teachers, skit participants (both adults and teens needed for the skit) and several other roles throughout the week including our Friday Finale! Whether you love working with the kids, acting or just want to help out, there is a place for you! Interested in helping? Join us for a brief info session on Sunday, May 4th right after 10am worship service to learn more about how you can be involved. Let's come together to plant seeds of faith in young hearts! ACEs Challenge Kick Off Event

The health ministry is challenging the congregation to learn their Adverse Childhood Experiences score (ACEs) — we will discuss how childhood trauma can affect your physical, emotional, and spiritual health. This is for adults and teens - Lunch provided - RSVP to Sis Carter by May 14th ✔️ Learn what your ACE score means ✔️ Speak privately with licensed therapists and nurses ✔️ Ask questions and explore next steps for healing ✔️ Enjoy a complimentary lunch with your church family Follow-up group discussion on Saturday, May 31st 10am to 12pm

Vacation Bible School – Save the Date!

Come one, come all! Travel back to ancient Egypt and explore firsthand the culture of Joseph's world at Vacation Bible School. Also witness his journey from prison to palace. When: 7pm Nightly, June 16th - 20th here at the building. Please register no later than June 6th. Day1: Bible Point - God gives us hope. Bible Verse: "For I know the plans I have or you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11); Bible Story - Joseph interprets dreams in prison (Genesis 40:1-23) Day2: Bible Point - God gives us special abilities. Bible Verse: "In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well." (Romans 12:6); Bible Story - Pharaoh puts Joseph in charge. (Genesis 41:1-40) Day3: Bible Point - God gives us wisdom. Bible Verse: "If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you." (James 1:5); Bible Story - Joseph leads Egypt through famine. (Genesis 41:41-42:5) Day4: Bible Point - God gives us forgiveness. Bible Verse: "But you are a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to become angry, and rich in unfailing love." (Nehemiah 9:17); Bible Story - Joseph forgives his brothers. (Genesis 42:6-45:15). Day 5: Bible Point - God gives us a family. Bible Verse: "For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:26); Bible Story - Joseph settles his family in Egypt. (Genesis 45:16-47:27)

Family Bible Verse Challenge

Presented jointly by Education and Marriage Ministries: Avenue F ACTIVATE!! Bring the Bible to life with your family and friends in a fun, faith-filled competition! During the month of July, we invite groups of 4 or more to choose from the following two verses:  Lamentations 3:22-23 Matthew 5:14-16 Act it out in a short skit and post your entries to our Avenue F Facebook page by the deadline: July 31st. It's fun, meaningful and a great way to learn God's word together. Costumes and props encouraged. Entries will be evaluated for creativity, teamwork and most impactful message!
