Diamonds and Pearls’ Group Meeting Proposal

*** Contingent upon leadership approval*** Facilitator: Regina Shaw, Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor When: Monthly on a Sunday (each month, the date is determined based on other scheduled church activities) Where: Ave F Church of Christ Time: 12:00 PM Goal: To provide a safe “Godly” space for our young ladies to address daily life concerns and/or struggles that may be affecting their spiritual and mental health. Approach: Each group will begin with a pre-determined topic, but the topic may change during the group as groups are participant-led. Topics can include, but are not limited to: · Stress management · Peer Pressure · Coping Strategies · Conflict Resolution · Anger management · Healthy Relationships · Setting Boundaries · Healthy Boundaries Most topics will be accompanied by hard-copy materials which participants may share with their parent and/or guardian.

JASA Prayer Breakfast

Join the sisters of JASA for great fellowship and connection as we break bread and pray for one another. Acts 2:46 (NIV): “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.” This verse reminds us of the joy, fellowship, and unity that come when we share meals and community with one another in love. A sign up sheet will be available in the foyer to bring a dish to share.

Ave F Life Skills Camp

Breast Cancer Fair

The Health Ministry will host a Breast Cancer Awareness Fair in the church parking lot and indoors. Texas Health will provide free mobile mammograms and free breast exams to Ave F members and the community. There will be food, activities, and fun for all ages. Details to follow

Winter Clothing Drive

The Clothing Ministry will be partnering with the Health Ministry October 18th for their Breast Cancer Fair for a Winter clothing giveaway in the church parking lot. We will be accepting donations of Winter Clothing Donations beginning now through Sunday October 12th. WINTER CLOTHING items/Coats etc. ONLY.
