Come one, come all! Travel back to ancient Egypt and explore firsthand the culture of Joseph's world at Vacation Bible School. Also witness his journey from prison to palace. When: 7pm Nightly, June 16th - 20th here at the building. Please register no later than June 6th. Day1: Bible Point - God gives us hope. Bible Verse: "For I know the plans I have or you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11); Bible Story - Joseph interprets dreams in prison (Genesis 40:1-23) Day2: Bible Point - God gives us special abilities. Bible Verse: "In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well." (Romans 12:6); Bible Story - Pharaoh puts Joseph in charge. (Genesis 41:1-40) Day3: Bible Point - God gives us wisdom. Bible Verse: "If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you." (James 1:5); Bible Story - Joseph leads Egypt through famine. (Genesis 41:41-42:5) Day4: Bible Point - God gives us forgiveness. Bible Verse: "But you are a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to become angry, and rich in unfailing love." (Nehemiah 9:17); Bible Story - Joseph forgives his brothers. (Genesis 42:6-45:15). Day 5: Bible Point - God gives us a family. Bible Verse: "For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:26); Bible Story - Joseph settles his family in Egypt. (Genesis 45:16-47:27)

Presented jointly by Education and Marriage Ministries: Avenue F ACTIVATE!! Bring the Bible to life with your family and friends in a fun, faith-filled competition! During the month of July, we invite groups of 4 or more to choose from the following two verses: Lamentations 3:22-23 Matthew 5:14-16 Act it out in a short skit and post your entries to our Avenue F Facebook page by the deadline: July 31st. It's fun, meaningful and a great way to learn God's word together. Costumes and props encouraged. Entries will be evaluated for creativity, teamwork and most impactful message! Diamonds and Pearls’ Group Meeting Proposal Facilitator: Regina Shaw, Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor When: 1st Wednesday of each month Where: Ave F Church of Christ Time: 7:00 PM Goal: To provide a safe “Godly” space for our young ladies to address daily life concerns and/or struggles which may be affecting their spiritual and mental health. Approach: Each group will begin with a pre-determined topic but the topic may change during the group as groups are participant led. Topics can include but are not limited to: · Stress management · Peer Pressure · Coping Strategies · Conflict Resolution · Anger management · Healthy Relationships · Setting Boundaries · Healthy Boundaries Most topics will be accompanied by hard-copy materials which participants may share with their parent and/or guardian.
